POLY-CHAR is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to fostering a collegial environment for the exchange of knowledge, promoting student exchanges and collaborations, hosting international meetings, and providing a platform for scientists worldwide in the field of Polymer Science and Technology. Its scope embraces researchers engaged in experimental work, theoretical studies, and computer simulations, with the goal of achieving a deeper understanding of the relationships between polymer structures, properties, and applications. A defining feature of POLY-CHAR is its multidisciplinary nature, traditionally bringing together chemists, physicists, biologists, and engineers. A distinctive hallmark of the POLY-CHAR conference series is its strong commitment to supporting young scientists by offering a forum to develop their own scientific networks. POLY-CHAR 2026 will continue this tradition with its established one-day pre-conference workshop for PhD students and early-career researchers, conducted by world-renowned lecturers. Furthermore, this edition will feature dedicated sessions where outstanding early-career researchers will be given the opportunity to present their work in oral sessions. POLY-CHAR 2026, to be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, will be organized under the theme: “Smart, Sustainable & Data-Driven Polymeric Materials: From Molecular Design to Circular Applications.” The conference aims to promote cross-disciplinary understanding between the classical branches of polymer science and emerging areas of critical importance, including sustainability, recyclability, energy, health, and AI. These themes will serve as the foundation for the nine thematic sessions included in the program.
We are delighted to announce our list of Plenary, Keynote, and invited speakers, distinguished scientists from diverse disciplines and representing all continents, who will share their cutting-edge research with us at POLY-CHAR 2026 in Chiang Mai.
